| Thanks to Eli Carlson, We got the Fifth Wheel Roof Cleaned Off That's Him On the Rear of the Roof with Neil Watching |
We had the buyers home inspection today, and there are only a few minor things to get fixed that we will take care of over the next couple of weeks. It looks like we are still on a path to closing in early December--yahoo! We are now very busy with all the things that need to be done and trying to be ready for the first round of packers who show up on Monday. Neil has been moving all of the desktop computer files over to his laptop, and trying to identify what we will need for the next three to four months, without taking too much stuff with us. That last part is the tough part right now.
The good news is that we have the Fifth Wheel trailer to move everything into, right here. We are finding places for the canned salmon, chocolate, wine, cookies and other important items. We will probably over pack, but it isn't like we are taking the trailer over the Rocky Mountains. We also have the cab and bed of the pickup, and the Passat wagon to carry things in on our way down to Oregon. It is a 291-mile drive, and we will make one fuel stop in Washington on the way down.
Neil did sell the crab pots and power washer on Tuesday, and friend Jeff visited and took some leftover lumber and other items. Neil is pretty sure that there will be more to give away after Thanksgiving. We do have one free trip to the garbage dump thanks to neighbors, but we hope that we can just give stuff away instead. For example, the movers won't be taking any liquids, so that will mean some more things to leave behind.
Thanks for visiting,
Neil and Pamela
