Finally Spring and House Move-In Delay

It has been an interesting week here with every kind of weather and some frustrations on our new home, but today was a sunny Spring day in the sixties and we think that we now have a final date for the house closing.  Yesterday, Molalla received about three inches of snow, which was pretty unusual for Oregon in late March.

We had some ups and downs with the house the last several days.  The ups were getting the utilities lined up, meeting a painter to paint much of the house, and other arrangements.  The downs were a delayed appraisal that will delay closing by several days.  Right now (Saturday night) we are hoping to close this coming Wednesday or Thursday so that we could get the keys on Friday.  That is about four days later than we planned, but we have rescheduled things to the new dates.

Yesterday and Today We Saw This--Blue Sky!

Today, we did some outside RV work and helped the Finney's with some yard work.  Pamela got some items ready to take to the new home this weekend (we hope!) that will allow us to feel a bit at home until we get our house furnishings the second week of April.

Neil has moved a lot of his tools and items that he wants to work on the house this weekend into his truck, so that we will be ready to do some painting, and building a workbench in the garage.  We hope to get some work done next weekend so that we can have the painters in the following week.  We want to clean out the garage and paint it and also replace a couple of closet organizers.

Bugatti's Restaurant in Oregon City

One of the things that we are enjoying about being in Oregon so far, is the variety of places to eat.  One of our favorites has been Bugatti's Italian restaurant in Oregon City.  They have a very good menu, and good drinks to boot.  Neil likes the chicken parmesan and they have good pizza as well.

This week, we will do some more organization to get ready for the new house, and also enjoy this time before we are able to get into the new home.  Things will get very busy then, for sure.
