If All Goes Well with Inspections--This Will Be Our New Home

Well, things moved pretty fast the last couple of days, and we found a house we like, made an offer, got a counter offer, and finalized the sales agreement and locked in the loan today.  The property is located in West Linn, Oregon--just across the street from Oregon City.  It meets all of our criteria, and was in our price range.  We will be having the home inspection and sewer "scope" (think colonoscopy for your home sewer system) next Thursday.

So far, we have been very pleased with the USAA Savings Bank and their Movers Advantage program, and the realtor that was assigned to work with us.    This new house has a large yard, room for RV parking, and lots of other things we were looking for, including a huge master bathroom shower and tub.

So the house hunting is done and now we will be involved in inspections and planning for the new place and trying to decide where we will put our stuff and how much painting and closet work will need to be done before we move in.  One of the nice features of this place is the large garden with lots of rhododendrons, roses and a large wisteria tree that has been trained into a deck sun screen.
