We are back from nearly a week in Southern California with family to watch the Super Bowl and enjoy sunshine and temperatures in the middle seventies. Neil enjoyed wearing shorts in February, and we had good visits with Neil's brother Bruce and Sandi and Neil's nieces Noreen and Shannon (Neil and Bruce's older brother Jim's daughters).
We got back on Tuesday and were picked up by Seth and Cathy and had a wonderful dinner at Gustav's in Clackamas. Today, we met our real estate agent in Oregon City and looked at several houses. We found a couple that might serve our needs and will look at a few more tomorrow.. We decided to go through the United Services Insurance Company to get a recommendation on a realtor, and we think that it is going to work out very well. We will get loan pre-approval from them as well and we will be ready to put money down on a home this week, we expect.
One of the things that we will need to assess is whether it makes any sense to consider and of the "short sale" properties. These are the ones that the home owners owe more than the properties value, so they are "underwater" with the bank, and the bank has to approve any sale offers, and that may take several months.
We have several more properties to look at, and we will continue to look for the best fit. Thanks for any best wishes and prayers as we continue.
Thanks for visiting,
Neil and Pamela
