First House Showing

We had a leisurely morning and late lunch today when we got a phone call that our realtor would like to show the house in the next hour.  Yikes!  We could have said no, but since it was the first showing, we scurried around taking things off countertops, vacuuming and picking up.  Things were really in pretty good shape, as we were in "24-hour notice" mode, but it was a bit of a surprise.  So we picked up and took off for about an hour and a half--let's hope that they are interested.

The house is listed at Powell Realty and you can see a virtual tour of our place at link to HagaFinn House Virtual Tour that has photos and the like.  If you know of anyone in Juneau interested in a great place to live, pass this along...you never know.

High Tide in Bayview Today Was Over 20 Feet!
We also had a very high tide today--it was over 20 feet and filled up our water view.  It is also raining pretty heavy so it is an inside day.  Pamela also has some errands while Neil is working on some inside projects and getting the Garmin GPSMAP 276C unit updated and ready for use in the truck instead of the boat.

Since we also have GPS in our Apple iPhones, one could argue that we have too many GPS units, but that is not an argument that Neil is going to support.  The one above is the one that will take the marine charts on a removable card, or highway maps, so is very versatile.

This one is a lot easier to use and larger and we made very good use of it during our travels last winter and expect to do so again for many years.  Besides, as Neil's brother Bruce says, you have to have backups for your backups.  And yes, for full disclosure I will admit to having a backup to the backup--a Garmin GPS III+ (see below).  We can use that for hiking and biking still--yes it can mount to our bike handle bars.

The week seems to be moving along pretty fast--probably because we have some projects to do before the Saturday Open House.  So ... we had better get back to it.  Please let us know if anyone is reading this.  You can comment on the Blog itself, or send a note to hagafinn@gmail.com
